“ Great bowl of pho for two of us, rice noodles with spring rolls and pork for another of our party. All were excellent. Service was great, and enjoyed the atmosphere, with lots of oxygen from many plantings. Start with green papaya salad yummmm! ”

“ Update, August 2024 Mekha Grill has now expanded into the space next door formerly shared by a barber and a lingerie shop. It appears that the kitchen now occupies the entirety of what used to be the seating area plus the original cooking space. The name has been changed as well it is now Chi Em Mekha Grill, and in addition to a new menu, the patio area out back has been expanded. Our most recent visit had one old favorite, and a new to me variation on it. The classic vermicelli bowl with grilled pork and fried spring rolls is still as good as ever. A special item on the menu essentially replaced the vermicelli noodles with an udon style noodle and a coconut based sauce. One thing that seems to be missing is banh mi the sandwiches that were a regular choice for me. I didnt ask, because I was in a noodle frame of mind on my recent visit, but I may stick my head in and ask if they still offer banh mi. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ The banh mi at Mekha Grill is good enough that it took me a long time, and many visits, to get around to trying anything else. But Im glad I eventually got around to it. Everything here is well prepared, and though the prices originally seemed a bit high, the comparatively large portion sizes make Mekha a solid value. Like everything else Ive tried here, the vermicelli with spring rolls came with crisp, fresh veggies. After multiple visits, I finally visited the wonderful patio out back, with lots of options for sitting in the sun, or in the shade. Mekha is a terrific addition to the neighborhood. ”

“ Amazing Papaya salad and Ban Xeo Vietnamese crepe with shrimp fresh and ton of veggies and herbs. Fish sauce was delicious Also got a Banh Mi sandwich off menu and all you have to do is ask. Pork, beef, tofu are all options ”

“ Came here with a cute date, and it was great! I had the pho tom, banh tet, and a tasty alcoholic coffee drink I forget the name of lol. It was the first time I got to try pho, and this place did not disappoint. Service was good, portions were generous, and pricing was good. Would visit again for sure! ”

“ This is a beautifully renovated version of the MeKha Grill that was just next door on Division St. renamed Chi Em MeKha Grill. They specialize in rice plates, vermicelli plates, stew, cocktails and excellent Pho. I always get the Pho Tai Pho meat broth, vermicelli, onions, basil, jalapenos, bean sprouts and tender cut beef and love it. Its a large bowl and 17. Pho has gotten expensive everywhere in Portland, so the price is no surprise. I do think this is one of my favorite Pho places in town with MeKha Grill original location on Sandy and Pho Hung also being my top choices. My friend got the Pho with all meats. That baby is packed with flank, tendon, meatballs, tripe, tender cut beef and collagen galore! He loved it! In the past they were getting their noodles and more from the main MeKha location on Sandy. Im unsure if their now expanded kitchen and separate dining area gives them the freedom of creating all their own food. Next time I visit I will ask. I definitely recommend coming here and the service is always good. ”

“ Loveliest experience. The employees were so so kind and the food came out quickly. The salad rolls were very nice and fresh! The vegetarian pho was sweet but still super good! My mom got the vermicelli which had the most flavorful tofu Ive may have ever consumed, so I personally recommend that. The menu had a lot of choices but not an overwhelming amount, and the prices werent bad at all. Such a nice vibe, go here go here!!!!!!! ”
